Owning a home is a very rewarding accomplishment. However, it can come with some tedious projects, one being cleaning your dryer ducts. Here are some ways to keep those ducts clean.
Interior Duct
Dryer ducts have been known to catch fire if not properly maintained and cleaned. As the heat comes through the hose, if there is debris this can ignite a fire. To clean the internal duct or the hose on the back of your dryer, remove the hose and use the head of the vacuum to suction the debris. You may be able to remove most of the lint with your hands, but the remnants can be suctioned out with the vacuum.
Exterior Duct
There is a two-part process to cleaning your dryer ducts properly and some people don’t realize this. You have the duct attached to the dryer hose, and the exterior duct on the outside of your house. To clean the exterior vent, remove your cover from the outside of the house with the hose still detached. Again, use your vacuum or leaf blower to remove the debris. It’s a very simple process. Caring for the dryer duct in your home is imperative. This will not only help to prevent fires, but it will also improve the overall function.
Dryer Vent Cleaning
What would you do if we told you that your house is in danger of catching fire? Wouldn’t you do everything in your power to prevent that fire? Isn’t the safety of your family members the most important thing for you? If the answer to any of these questions is a “YES”, then we can help you with our dryer vent cleaning service. Dryer vent cleaning will reduce the risk of your home catching fire from lint build-ups in the dryer vent.
